i dear, oral performance is easy to go through...my suggestion or own experience are i always speaks with my friends in english eventhiugh my grammr or the sentence is not correct. my freiends will correct for me if there words that not suits in the conversation. other than that u must put aside the shyness so that u can be a good speaker in the future. other suggestions do read alot of reading materials and also listen to radio which communicates in english...thats fr me...

Hi, I teach Call Center Training and ESL students. There are two things that has worked with my students:

Using classroom activities and games that encourages students to use their spoken english. This might be a problem for you if you're not the English teacher, or if you are very shy. But try to participate or encourage your teacher to try out some fun games and activities - try speechcraft its one of my favourite at: http://www.tobyscafe.com/resources/gamesspeechcraft.htm

Practising with friends is ok. But try to hang around and practice with native speakers and always ask them to correct your English. I always hang out with my students, i.e for lunch, social drinks etc. (they treat me :0 ). I believe that real takes place outside the classroom, in the real world.

Good luck with your learning

Donald

Oral performance can be improved firstly by speaking the language as often as you can. Secondly do alot of reading to improve your vocabulary and thirdly listen to the English news for correct pronunciation.
