Hi Marrion,
It doesn't sound right. It sounds like you are repeating the subject twice (it and the book).
The better way to say it might be:
This book is worth reading.
It is worthwhile to read this book.
Reading this book is worthwhile.
Having said that, I've heard "It's worth reading this book" in conversation before. Perhaps in the right context it might be correct.
person1: "I was really excited when I heard that the new Harry Potter movie was coming out."
person2: "I heard that it follows the book pretty well."
person3: "I got the book right here. I read it. I think for you to really know, it's worth reading this book."
