[1]It is very dangerous that we swim in the river.
[2]It is very dangerous (for us) to swim in the river.

From above, I have known [2] is correct and [1] isn't correct. And then.........

[3] It is crazy that Whitney Houston is being honored with this award.
[4] It is crazy of Whitney Houston is being honored with this award.

Which one is correct between [3] and [4]?

If two sentencess are correct, why?

Hi Marrion,

#3 is correct. #4 would be correct if you eliminate "of."

The omission of the conjunction "that" sometimes occurs, especially in common speech.

[5] It is crazy of Whitney Houston to be being honored with this award.

If so, is [5] correct?

You could eliminate "being" and it would be grammatically correct. I like #3 the best.
