Hi everyone!

I'm an English teacher who loves movies and using movies to teach my students. So when someone recently suggested that I prepare self-study materials for movies that could be used by students and teachers, i got all excited about it. My students love the lessons and I wonder if there are other people out there in the big wide world who might also be interested in this idea. That is why I'm running this poll. if enough people are interested, i will adapt my materials and make them available for a small price over the internet.

Good idea.

But I want to know if it will be complex to prepare the material, for there are so many movies and we have to pick out the only useful things. After that we have to edit it.

How did you do it?

Thanks

Hello ajohn,
I'm an English Language Studies student in a Malaysian university and recently completed an assignment on the Walt Disney cartoon 'Beauty & the Beast'. I read a few examples of analysis on the cartoon to grasp a strong understanding of the cartoon. And, I discovered that the Oedipus Complex idea from the Psychoanalysis theory can be applied. How?
Well, according to the anaylst (whom I forgot his name)Beauty refused to to marry Gaston because she cared for her father too much. And she cares for her father more than settling down in life because she has sexual desires towards her father.
Isn't this thought splendid though it seems gross?What is your interpretation of this cartoon? pinkcappucino

learning engllish through film is one of a good way to learning
but first we must watch a english movie la
beside that a good useness of english in that movie
but
learning this way can turn into a bad useness of english if we watch a bad english movie
so
to learn something good we must choose a good source
to learn something bad we must choose a bad source
as conclusion
learning english through movies can help someone to learn english as they choose a good movies and the useness of english is good
enjoy english movies

Hi to everybody
My favourite movie is American in Paris
So i have a question. How to explain this dialogue?

...........................................................................................................
624
00:49:35,560 --> 00:49:38,233
I thought maybe you said yes
to get rid of me.

625
00:49:38,440 --> 00:49:39,953
Not that it would have.

.......................................................................................................

630
00:49:58,800 --> 00:50:02,190
That's all right. I didn't feel
like sitting there anyhow.

........................................................................................................
939
01:22:49,520 --> 01:22:51,238
I feel like a woman for a change.

940
01:22:51,440 --> 01:22:52,509
You are.

941
01:22:53,200 --> 01:22:55,839
-Haven't I ever mentioned it to you?
-No.

942
01:22:56,000 --> 01:22:58,468
You will hear
a lot about it from now on.
