Several days ago, I went to a bookstore and bought an English book called:The phantom of the opera. It was written by Gaston Leroux, a French author. This novel was reorganized to present musical plays and movies, so it is a famous book.
The content of this novel is fantastic yet horrible. This novel has a wonderful description, it describes a hideous musician, crazed by his extreme ugliness. The musician called Eric, he was a phantom in the Paris Opera, he was disfigured and he should wear a mask. he loved a beautiful actress called Christine but the woman didn't love him, she loved a viscount. Eric wanted to retaliate Christine, but finally, he knew Christine wouldn't love him for ever. he gave up and he was disappeared in the opera.
It's a tragedy, it also discuss human nature's distortion and extremism. I think it is a wonderful novel.
