What does amoung others mean?
skilled trades often require highter skills, such as the ability to do math and read blueprints.

It means that there are more issues other than the ones listed. It's like a synonym for "etcetra".

"Skilled trades" are jobs that require expertise in a certain field, such as an electritician. A "blueprint" , in this case, is referring to a detailed, technical drawing about a building, a part, ect. |
