1.Retirement age may soon be 85 for university majors. What does university major mean?


2. Little could I know I could be at his position. Do you call this kind of sentence inverted? I mean the verb is in front of the subject at the main clause.

3. Does throw out and throw away mean the same thing?

I think it means someone who has graduated with a degree from a university.

It should be, "Little did I know, I could be at his position." The second "I" is the subject, and "could be" is the verb, so its not inverted. The "Little did I know" part is a phrase, the name of which is escaping me at the moment.
