Chit-chat, flip-flop, hanky-panky, riff-raff, tip-top. I was once told there is a name for such words but I have forgotten. Can anyone help me, please.

Oops... a tyros' naivete... fools rush in where angles fear to tread...

I had hoped the dust had settled by now...

the internet...the wild west... the good, the bad and the ugly....or is it ...last man standing?

For anyone who might be reading this.....some words, like "clickety-clack" are onomatopoeias.

Grammarians, please feel free to add/amend. :) Philo

Thank you Philo Kevetch. This was helpful.

Incidently, boy rates. I am NOT advoca (who is a man). I am a female. And I have never trolled. Just look at all of my posts. Stop using such hate. Stop your lies.

Who is this chap called advoca?

Looking advoca up on Google will get you 137,000 answers. You can find a DNS Report for him (not that this is very helpful). He seems to have a Website design company in Toronto, a software company in Finland, and apparently he is a Scientologist.

You will also find that advoca regularly contributes to the English Square Forum in the China Daily and to the China History Forum.

And if he is Roy Bates, as you claim Boy Rates, you will find via Google that he has written a book on Chinese Dragons, on the People of the Forbidden City, and A dictionary of Chinese Numbers. He has also given lectures to the International Society in Beijing many times, to the Chinese Culture Club many times, has been intervened on China Radio International, and has written over 100 articles in the China History Journal over the past twenty years.

He had taught English as a Second Language for nearly 20 years to Chinese Adults. He lives in Beijing.

And for the record, he is male. I am female, and so is Blossom. She lives in Beijing, and I live in Cardiff, Wales.

Now, for heavens sake, boy rates, shut up.

Joan Nelson

boy rates, did you look at the wiki definition of internet troll you posted in one of your topics? Trolls will call others trolls, in order to get a reaction. Wow, you come here and start calling people trolls, when no one else was doing anything. Look in the mirror, bub.
Anyways, off topic, sorry about just adding to the problems...
