Do you know what is linguistic competence? The linguistic competence is the components of communicative language ability. Linguistic competence is concerned with knowledge of the language itself, its form and meaning. Thus linguistic competence involves a knowledge of spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, word formation, grammatical structure, sentence structure, and linguistic semantics.

Can you all try to describe another components of this language ability?

For me, another components of communicative language ability is like pragmatic competence, discourse competence, strategic competence and lastly fluency.
