"yesterday once more" is a really wonderful song, popular in China, loved by me!
It recalls me the pretty days in the past, the secrets which i kept, failures and successes which i had.
It makes me smile , it makes me cry, it makes me wonder could yesterday really appear once more one day ?
Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
do you like this song?

It's amazing how music can make you remember how you felt at a time in the past. The years when the Carpenters were writing their songs was a special time for me. I was a young woman in love with the man who later became my husband. One of my favorite songs was "There's a Kind of Hush". When I hear it today I remember exactly how I felt back then. Do you still listen to this song today?

There's a Kind of Hush

There's a kind of hush
all over the world tonight
All over the world
you can hear the sounds of lovers in love
You know what I mean

Just the two of us
and nobody else in sight
There's nobody else and I'm feeling good
Just holding you tight

So listen very carefully
Closer now and you will see what I mean
It isn't a dream

The only sound that you will hear
Is when I whisper in your ear I love you
For ever and ever

> > > > > > >

For anyone who wants to sing "Yesterday Once More", here are the lyrics. Wink

Yesterday Once More

When I was young
I'd listen to the radio
Waiting for my favorite songs
When they played I'd sing along
It made me smile.

Those were such happy times
And not so long ago
How I wondered where they'd gone
But they're back again
Just like a long lost friend
All the songs I loved so well.

Every Sha-la-la-la
Every Wo-o-wo-o
Still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing's
So fine.

When they get to the part
Where he's breaking her heart
It can really make me cry
Just like before
It's yesterday once more.

Looking back on how it was
In years gone by
And the good times that I had
Makes today seem rather sad
So much has changed.

It was songs of love that
I would sing to then
And I'd memorize each word
Those old melodies
Still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away.

Every Sha-la-la-la
Every Wo-o-wo-o
Still shines
Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
That they're starting to sing's
So fine.

All my best memories
Come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry.

Just like before
It's yesterday once more.

I think music is a way to express people's feeling, we can know what is the people want to say in their songs.

From several years ago, there were some African musicians sang some songs about their own countries. They sang hip-hop, rock, and so on. They were very famous all over the world, because they expressed their feeling by singing their songs. That's prefet.

I like "Yesterday Once More" and some other old songs. "Big Big World", "I Believe I Can Fly", "Yesterday", "Say You, Say Me", "Without You", "Time To Say Goodbye" and "No Matter What". I like some new songs, too. For example, "When You Believe", "God Is A Girl" and "Life Is Cool". You can see the lyrics of these songs, those are good.
