Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch, and it means a meal between breakfast time and lunch time. |

In addition to what pavilion said -
Brunch isn't nearly as common as breakfast or lunch. Sometimes people want to sleep later on weekends or their days off and, instead of having both breakfast and lunch, they'll have brunch (possibly around 10:00 or 11:00). Some restaurants serve Sunday brunch.

Especially among students the brunch is popular, if they have drunk too much the night before and get up late, not necessarily in the weekends. Or is this kind of behaviour uncommon outside The Netherlands? |
