I'm a Vietnamese student who would probably go to America next year as an exchange student. I will be in year 12 and I don't know much about the subjects and american education system.
One more thing, the school that I will go to couldn't award me any diplomas or graduation certificates because I'm an exchange student. So if anyone knows about others equal diplomas that I could get (SAT or ACT), please tell me...... Question Question Question I would be grateful for your help.

Hello Newslittledog,

Here's a link to the General Educational Development (GED) Test. A GED credential documents high school-level academic skills and is accepted by many colleges and universities as an alternate to a high school diploma.

You also asked me for information about the high school curriculum in Indianapolis. Here are some links for you and anyone else who may be interested in American high school programs:

Indianapolis Pulic Schools - Determining Students English Language Proficiency Levels

A language minority students English language proficiency level is determined by assessing his or her listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension with a formal English Language Proficiency test.

Assessing only a students oral capacity will not provide adequate or accurate information regarding his or her academic performance in the classroom. Further, being able to socially communicate in English with seeming proficiency is not an accurate predictor for commensurate performance in English reading and writing. Listening, speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension are interrelated domains, and all these elements must be considered in arriving at an appropriate English Language Proficiency level.

For more information regarding the approved English Language Proficiency instruments, please contact the Indiana Department of Educations Language Minority and Migrant Programs at (317) 232-0555 or (800) 382-9962.
