Hi,

Could anyone help me with the following dialogues.

Female:You just want a trim Mr.Krueger?
Male:Yes,just a little off the top.
Female:Fine.Step back here,and I'll give you a shampoo.

What does 'Step back here' mean? Does it mean 'Come back here'? or Come back later? or, Come here? or what else? Why is 'step back here' used here? Thank you for your help.

Leslie

It means come with me into the part of the barbershop or salon where the sinks are (so I can shampoo your hair).

"Step back here" means to step (walk) to the back of the shop where the chair (or sinks) usually are located. So, yes, it would mean "come back here" or "come here (to the back of the shop)".
