Please tell me if a antive speaker would accept these sentences.

1. I like singing but some people think my voice ist not beautiful like I do

Is the "like I do" okay?

2.Between 1960 and 1970 they built by about 60 houses

Is the "by " okay?

Peace

.
1-- As a casual utterance, it is OK, but as a written sentence, it should be better designed:

I like singing but some people do not think my voice is as beautiful as I do.

2-- No; omit the by.
