Er....here is a question.

Suppose a stranger is asking you the way to the middleschool. Then you tell him :"Go along this road and turn left........you will find the middleschool ON you left!"

Here, will you say"You will find the middleschool IS on your left?"

Our teacher told us that we should say"You will find the middleschool ON your left" , Not "you will find the middleschool is on your left!"
She also said,if we wanted to use"IS",we should say:"The middleschool is on your left!"

But why???????????? Question Question Question Question Question Question

If you say You will find the school on your left, it means that when you're searching, you will find it left of you. When you say You will find the school is on your left, what you mean is: You will find that the school is on your left. Find means find out in this sentence, not finding after searching. I am not sure if you can omit the word that, but it's cleare if you do not.

BTW, this topic should not be in the opinion pages, but in the learning English pages.
