Hello everyone.

The following is a part of the dialogue that some friends of mine and I dictated about S's weight training between the two people C and S.

<C>:I do weight training just with dumbbells and, you know,leg-lifts and crunches and things like that.
<S>: On a regular basis every day?
<C>: Uh-huh. three times a week.
<S>: Uh-huh.
<C>: ( A ) do it a little bit more if I could fit into my schedule. I might start sticking a little bit more in in the evening, because that kind of exercise, I don't mind very much. So, I can get myself to do it a little more easily. I also do aerobic type exercise. I jog in place for 45 minutes, uh, usually four times a week.
<S>: And you walk a lot, too, don't you?
<C>: Yeah, ( B )I walk a lot also. I've always liked walking, so if I have the time, I walk up to 30 minutes for sure. Over 30 minutes then I start thinking about it a little more, because my feet get tired. I'm usually not wearing the best walking shoes. But, 30 minutes, in almost any shoe I can manage.

The two bracketed parts (A) and (B) below were the most difficult part for us to dictate and we disagreed.

Which, #1or #2, would you guess is more appropriate for blank (A) and blank (B)? Please guess, since I cant provide you with the voice here.

(A) #1. I #2. Id
(B) #1. I #2. Ill

Best regards,
Fw

Sorry, I made an error for the blank (B) in my #1 posting. The following is the corrected version.

The following is a part of the dialogue that some friends of mine and I dictated about S's weight training between the two people C and S.

<C>:I do weight training just with dumbbells and, you know,leg-lifts and crunches and things like that.

<S>: And you walk a lot, too, don't you?
<C>: Yeah, I walk a lot also. I've always liked walking, so if I have the time, ( B ) walk up to 30 minutes for sure. Over 30 minutes then I start thinking about it a little more, because my feet get tired. I'm usually not wearing the best walking shoes. But, 30 minutes, in almost any shoe I can manage.

A) I'd -- it's a conditional sentence, "I would do it a little bit more if I could fit it into my schedule."

B) Either "I" or "I'll" is acceptable. The sentence is talking about something that happens on a regular basis, since C says that he walks a lot. "I walk" (present tense) can show this, and "I will walk" (future tense) can also be used to show habitual actions: "On sunny days, I'll run a mile and a half." This use of the future tense is a bit strange, and isn't used very often.
