What does "molder" below mean in the context?
The manuscript moldered in a safe-deposit box at a bank in Hicksville, N.Y., for 16 years before being bought in 2000 by a Zurich dealer, Frieda Nussberger-Tchacos. The manuscript was then given the name Codex Tchacos. _________________ Hiromichi |

Thanks for the question, hiromichi. I always thought it meant "got moldy" because it sat around a long time, but I looked in the dictionary, and it said, "To crumble to dust; disintegrate." So maybe we both learned something. |
