Dear Teachers,
1.Sometimes things get out of control, so I have to stick up and pass by.
-What do stick up and pass by mean?
2.no dice! means no way!, right?
3.Are the sports below correct?
-car-racing, marathon, speed-skating, javelin throwing.
4.I have a very important meeting tonight, so I cant be absent / so I have to be present there.
-Is this natural?
Thanks very much to Teachers, |

-What do stick up and pass by mean? -- Stick up seems odd and I don't know what it means. Pass by = continue on without doing anything. This doesn't necessarily make sense in your sentence, however.
2.no dice! means no way!, right? -- Yes
3.Are the sports below correct?
-car-racing, marathon, speed-skating, javelin- throwing. -- Yes
4.I have a very important meeting tonight, so I cant be absent / so I have to be present there.
-Is this natural? -- Natural: I can't be absent. I have to be there.
