Everywhere has its advantages and disadvantages. But one of the most important things to consider is where can you get the most contact with native English speakers.
I teach in Spain and a lot of my students want to go to London. I usually suggest that they only visit London for sight-seeing because it's a really great place to visit but it's very difficult to meet local people.
It's much better to try and go to a smaller town where there are fewer foreign students and where the local people are
probably more welcoming to foreign visitors.
It doesn't really matter which country you go to, but try to listen to as many TV series, films , podcasts etc etc with different accents to supplement your study abroad.

Your choice of England, Australia, Canada or the US for an English course really depends on where you want to work and what you want to do with your English when you finish. Once you have decided on the right country for you, a more important decision will be the city that you choose.

A lot of students like to study English in New York because it's exciting and they have always had dreams of living there. However, I don't think that NYC is the best place to learn English. While NYC is a very exciting city and there is so much to do and see, it is far too easy to find people from your home country and only speak your native language. A lot of students spend a lot of money on English classes but don't improve because they don't practice outside of class.

A smaller city like Boston might be a better choice if you decided to study in the US. Small towns are even better. Although it might be scary to go to a small town where no one speaks your native language, you will benefit from it in the end.

Hi guys,
I was reading your posts and I personally I think that for European students the best places to learn English are Dublin or London.
I can't decide which country might be better: any tips? It's also really hard to choose the school.. I read on some reviews sites good feedbacks for a school called Delfin, that it's in Dublin and in London too.. has anyone ever been there? prices seem good compared to other schools..

A lot of people come to Malta to learn English because it's one of the official languages here, and it's cheaper and sunnier than studying in the US or the UK. Elanguest English Language School

Hello everybody !

I went in USA, UK and I'm right now studying in New Zealand.

NEW ZEALAND is definitely the best place to learn English! People are so nice here! If they see you have difficulties to speak or understand they will repeat till you understand.

I think when you go to another country to learn a language, you also have to choose a place where you will learn a lot about life and culture! If you go to a place you want to visit, you will learn faster because you will feel so good there and you will visit so many places and meet so many people that you will, for sure, practice your English!

You can't go wrong with Canada. It is a safe place with a lot of culture and beautiful nature. Diversity is a key feature of Canada.

Also, many language schools are accredited by Languages Canada. So, you can feel better about choosing a school and know they have good education standards.
