Hi everyone! Im pretty much decided on doing some volunteering overseas, and Id like to do a TEFL course. Do any of you have any recommendations for companies you used, and details on why you liked them, or any ones to avoid, and again, how come? Thanks! |

Hi there,
My name is Ruth and I am from i-to-i which is a volunteering and travel organisation that offers TEFL courses. All the courses provide an internationally recognised certificate and are accredited by ODLQC (Open and Distance Learning Quality Council) and SQMS (Scottish Quality Management Systems). The ODLQC was set up by the UK government to monitor the quality of open and distance learning courses. SQMS recognise organisations that have top quality products and services.
There are also a number of Paid Teaching Placements which give a TEFL qualification, a guaranteed salaried teaching job, arranged accommodation, airport pick-up and continued support throughout your placement. There are currently some great opportunities to live and teach in China, Thailand, South Korea, Poland, Hungary and Turkey, if any of these countries interest you.
Hope that helps,
Ruth |
