I thik there are many important reason to learn English. Enlish language be the first language in the world. Today, when you want to get job you must have a strong English language. When you travel , Enlish language will help you in many way.

Actually, English is very important in the world. Most of the tourists (I guess) use English to communicate. For Example, Many tourists came to Hong Kong for tour, they always speak English to communicate with Hong Kongers. Therefore, English is a main language in the world.
