Dear teachers,
1) I understand that "suppose" is an imperative, but is it a finite or non-finite verb? And is supposing a participial?
2) It is said that we shouldn't use a comma between 2 independent clauses, but is it true here also? Because I think I saw these kinds of sentences written with a comma after "suppose" or was it "supposing"?
Suppose your parents had refused, how would you have felt?
Is this a comma splice?
3) Now can I put a full stop after the first clause, i.e.,
Suppose they hadn't got the key. What would they have done?
4) Can I use a question mark after "suppose"?
eg: Suppose they had missed the flight?
Thanks a lot
