What is a rose trap?
"This winter storm was described on the news as a 'real sockdolager,' as the white stuff piled up all along the East Coast like Japanese beetles in a rose trap."

| a small box baited with sex pheromones placed in rose bushes to attract beetles and interrupt the mating cycle...the trap allows the beetles to enter but not exit....so - they tend to "pile up" |
