Hello, teachers.
I found the following sentence in the lyrics of a pop song.
"You are shinning star."
Can "shining" be spelled "shinning" ,too?
And "a" can be omitted in the lyrics?

Yes. That is why there is such a thing as poetic licence. |

Well, I think "shinning" is just a misspelling by whoever wrote the lyrics. The "a" is omitted because of poetic license, which means that they can do it because it's their song and have freedom. It would not be omitted in a proper sentence.
