The sentence is :
The cashier remarked that if her cash register is short at closing time, the difference comes out of her own paycheck.
The same meaning sentence I didn't choose correctly is:
The cashier has to pay for it.
1. What does a cashier do? bank clerk?
2. Does cash register mean her bank account?A closing time of what?her account?
3. Does difference means the over-used part of money from her account which she didn't have in her cash account?
4. What is paycheck? Her salary or the money being ready to becone her salary but still belongs to her boss? _________________ "Watch flower flowering and searing

1. A cashier is the person who takes your money as you check out of the supermarket or some other type of store.
2. The cash register (also called "the till")is the machine on which she or he enters the cost of everything you have bought. When she totals your purchases the drawer on the machine opens and she puts the cash you give her in it.
The cash register keeps a record of all sales.
3. The difference, in this case, means that the actual cash she has collected does not equal the amount that the cash register has computed for total sales during her shift. This could happen if she makes a mistake in giving out change.
4. Her pay check is the amount of money she is paid for working in the store. In most western countries it is paid by means of a check drawn on a bank or by direct deposit into the employee's bank.
What this means is that if she makes a mistake she pays. If she collects too much money the store keeps it, usually. |
