Hello,
These tools help (to) record memories.
I have been told that "help" is used with both an infitive with and witout "to". But I found a fill-in-the-blank" exercise which has both "record" and "to record" in the four choices to be chosen. Is one more correct than the other?
Thank you,
Nawee |

.
It is a poorly conceived test question. BrE considers the form without 'to' informal, but both are acceptable and in common use.
PS: There is no such thing as 'more/less' correct-- it's either correct or incorrect. But then, very little in English is either.
