BMO,

Hello. Are you familiar with the story "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"?
This is a good example of an alter ego.

It comes from Psychology and it usually refers to a person
who has two distinct personalities. One personality is his/her
normal, everyday personality.

The other personality might be his/her alter-ego. This personality
is very different from the other personality.

You could use it by the following example.

"Wow, have you talked to Robert lately? It seems like he's
got an alter-ego".

I hope this helps. Smile

It's also an alternate identity -- Bruce Wayne's alter-ego is Batman, and Batman's alter-ego is Bruce Wayne.

Is it possible to us that word that is in daily life? Like a person who has jobs that are in completely different fields.

Thanks
