The question would be better as, "Are any new girls joining the acting class?" or "Has any new girl joined the acting class?"

You would answer, "None that I know of," "Not that I know of," "No one that I know of," "None to my knowledge," etc.

If you say, "There is nothing that I know of," you must be referring not to a person but to a thing or a concept.

"Any news about the World Cup?" "Nothing that I know of."

"Any new players in the World Cup?" "None that I know of."

Yours truly, CP
