Organised criminals, particularly the Mafia, are referred to as the mob.
So a lawyer who represents them in court is called a mob lawyer.
A mob war is an outbreak of violence, such as that in Chicago in the 1920s, when different crime "families" or organisations fought each other over the areas in which they would carry out their operations. |
