Do I use the idioms correctly?
1. I lost my wallet and credit card. I am in a pickle. I should call the credit card company to stop the payment.
2. I ran through a red light. The police are coming towards me. I am in a pickle.
3. He didn�t do his homework. He is in a pickle.
4. He said he loved you, but he doesn�t come home every night. What he said was just a baloney.
5. Don�t trust that salesman. He is full of baloney. He said if you use their product, you can become beautiful.
6. There is a lot of baloney advertisement. For example, it says if you use their medicine, you will be able to grow taller.
7. He is a peach. He always helps people.
8. If I can�t see you right away, I will go banana.
9. If I can�t see you right away, I will go nuts.
10. If you buy a thing that is second hand, you should be very careful. It�s easy to get a lemon. Besides, there is no guarantee. _________________ Mimi |

1. Is fine except at the end you usually say to stop payment.
(Actually, you notify the company and they cancel or suspend the card.)
2. OK
3. OK
4. at the end ... was just boloney. ( leave out ,"a"
5. OK
6. There is a lot of baloney in this advertisement...etc..
7. OK (Peach is a bit dated though.)
8. ....I will go bananas
9. OK

Not to nitpick, but this sentence could be a little smoother:
10. If you buy a thing that is second hand, you should be very careful. It�s easy to get a lemon. Besides, there is no guarantee.
"If you buy something second hand, be careful. It's easy to get a lemon. Besides, there won't be any guarantee."
If you are talking about cars: "If you buy a second-hand car, be careful. . . ." Cars were, I believe, the first things to be labeled as lemons.
