Is this sentence OK?

The second "holds" should be "hold" and "asylum" should be "an asylum."
If you want to avoid repeating a word in the sentence while giving it a little zip, you might rewrite it to:
"Anyone who holds that John is crazy should also believe that he belongs in an asylum."
