Closed caption is prompted by Warne Bro.
What does it mean " prompted"?
Is this sentence OK?
Thank you |

The usual notice reads: "Closed captioning provided by [sponsor]."
You wouldn't use "prompted" there at all. As a verb, "to prompt" is to cue or to incite. "The empty cupboard prompted me to go shopping for groceries." "The actor forgot his line. He had to be prompted by the stage manager."
Hope this helps.
