I learnt at school that 'DURING' is a preposition, whereas 'WHILE' is a conjunction. However, the word 'WHILE' is sometimes used as a preposition especially in newspapers.
In the case of the sentence below, which is correct?
- Children enjoy imagining the scenes DURING/WHILE reading it.
Thanks. _________________ YUKIKO |

"Children enjoy imagining the scenes DURING/WHILE reading it. "
While is fine; during is not.

Thank you, CP.
So a gerund is not grammertically allowed to be put after 'during'? _________________ YUKIKO |
