Dear teachers:

(a) Please advise waht action the applicant would like to take.
(b) Please advse which action the applicant would like to take.

In (a), it implies that I don't provide any action for the applicant to choose, while in (b), it implies that I have provided some actions for him to choose therefrom. Is my understanding correct? Thanks.
