1. As for your daughter�s boyfriend, you�re going to have to let him come to you on this.
- What does �come to you on this� mean here?
2. You should offer him a shoulder to cry on, but other than that, you should encourage him more.
- �but other than that� means �but beside that� or �besides�, right?
3. It sounds to me that this situation is out of your hands.
- This means ��������that you can�t solve or control this situation�, right?

1. It means that the mother should keep her thoughts to herself about a particular topic until the boyfriend brings the topic up.
2. Yes, "other than that" means "besides that." (Note the "s.")
