1) In average, how many books do your read in a year?

2) How many have your read this year? How many of them were written in your native language and how many were not?

3) Besides books in English and in your native language, can you read books written in another idiom? Which one(s)?

4) Would you rather read a book or watch a movie about that book?

Hello.
1) I usually read 30-35 books per year in average. Of course it depends on quantity of its pages... Some of those books are for work and most of them are just for fun)))
2) Well I believe that I've read about 13-15 books this year. At this year I' begun to study English in a serious way so most of those books were in English. But those books were greaded reader except The Lord of the Rings which I'm reading now. This book is very large so I believe that it will take much time to read it all...
3) What do you mean? For example The Lord of the Rings often uses an old English... Is that idiom or not? Actually there are many idioms in Russian (for example, prisoners' dialect) but it's not interesting for me to read it...
4) It completely depends on my mood))) But I like reading very much.

1) I follow the same pattern. Two books per month, 30-36 in a year. I have lucky: in my kind of job, even books I read for fun help me in doing a better work!

2) From January to July, I've read 13 books. One of them was written by an author from your country: "The Brothers Karamazov". 8 were in English, 5 in Portuguese. Aevi, I must confess I'm jealous of you: I wish I could have read "Brothers" in its original language (russian)... I even had a russian version of the book in my hands!

3) I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear; I used the word "idiom" trying to say "language"; the question would be: "can you read books in a language other than English and your native language?". Although my French is terrible, I can read something.

4) Usually, I prefer reading. I believe books are richer than movies in general. Besides, I don't know why, but I can't stand watching a movie for too long.
