Hello,
I checked in my dictionary to know what it says about "to chant", but basically it only tells me that it is "to sing a chant", and then when I look up "chant", it says that it is a "song". That doesn't help me much!
What is(are) the difference(s) between "to sing" and "to chant" or a "song" and a "chant"?
Thank you for your help. |

A chant is often used in ceremonies or rituals. Sometimes they're song by monks, or are religious in some way.
Sometimes it doesn't have a tune, only a rhythm.
It's difficult to explain... Does this help at all? |
