Dear Teachers,
1. When we see each other in the hallway we start talking and we buddy around.
- What does buddy around mean?
2. Her friends believe the rumors and theyre disgusted and think less of her now.
- What does they think less of her now mean?
3. She feels depressed all the time because shes losing her friends left and right.
- What does shes losing her friends left and right mean?
Thanks very much to Teachers,

Hello to you all,
I have a few questions regarding the questions up there.
Does "they think more of her" exist", so that they have more respect for her?
Could you use *left and right* in another sentence? Thanks |

Yes, you could say "think more of her." Example:
"Now that they know what she had to overcome to get her degree, her friends think more of her than ever before."
As for "left and right," try these:
"He's losing money left and right."
"After head-butting that Italian player, Zinedine Zidane is losing fans left and right."
I've also heard (and used) the phrase "left, right, and center." I hope it is even more emphatic:
"With the fixing scandal in Italian football, players and coaches are scrambling to find lawyers left, right, and center." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
