What are subjunctives and how do I use them? How do they compare to modals? Modals seems to be a kind of subjunctive. Is that correct?

Shocked

take a look at thies web links.

for subjunctives... http://www.learnenglish.org.uk/grammar/archive/subjunctives.html

Subjunctives are used in formal sentaces. in every-day english you would see more modal words used.

Intersting note: A person with a strong vocabulary will use Subjunctives alot when speaking. Subjunctives are used alot by people that have at least a college level of english training here in America.
