Hello,

What's the difference between "intent" and "intention", if any?

It was not his intent/intention to hurt anyone.

Both seem acceptable here. Are there cases in which these 2 words may not be used interchangeably?

Thank you,

Nawee

It is common to hear 'intention' used plurally : His intentions were not clear. I have never heard 'intent' in the plural
