Now, Japan seems to be weak to China. China has become very big economically and militarily. In the world, China has a great influence especially in Africa. China has ve-to power in UN. It is easy to neglect Japans idea of economic sanctions against North Korea, for example. Also gas prospecting and islands territory problem in the East China Sea are serious problems. Im sure China doesnt need Japans aid. Someone might say that Japan has contributed to China economically and technically. For China? No, I dont think so. Its just for Japanese business. Japan shouldnt be full of its own importance. China is not a developing country any longer. Very near future, having a huge population, China will be the biggest importer. It may cause a shortage of imported foods in Japan. The sign has already begun. As Japan imposed North Korea on an import restriction, snow crabs will be greatly welcomed by China. China will become more powerful with its high economic growth. Olympic game being held in Beijing will accelerate it. Now Japan is a mantis raises hands against a dragon. We need to recognize the fact.

Wow! Don't be so hard on Japan... after all, the nation has what is most important in the "Knowledge Economy" we're all living: strong investments in education. This is what made possible the recovery of the country after the second World War; this is what will keep her highly competitive in this new age.

The relationships between China and Janpan is becoming more complicated, there are always a lot of arguments between each other,Chinese government recently is rising issues such as history textbooks and visiting the shrine made by Japanese PM,in order to better understand the relationships between China and Japan,we need to come back to see the history of relatinships between China and Japan.

What happened during the establishing the relationship between China and Japan in early 1970s?Back then Chinese communist government ruled by Chairman Mao only wanted to gain political benefits which Japan cut off the relationship with Taiwan -Republic of China, the chinese government totally gave up the compensation in which Japan needed to give the chinese to express the guilt for what their ancestors had done during WWT,during the negotiation,Japanese leader also proposed that Japan gave every Chinese family a set of television ,but the Chinese government once again refused to accept the offer. However,Japan gave China a lot of economic aid and favourable loans after China began economic reforms in 1979.

Through decades,Japanese leaders have publicly made many announcements in which they expressed apology for what their ancestors had harmfully done to some Asia countries. But Chinese dictatorship communist government seems to be that they don't want their ordinary people to see these apologies, maybe these apologies didn't fit for their propagandas in which they need to create a enemy in order to maintain their dictatorship regime.

Because chinese ordinary people don't have the rights to access to media which are not controlled by Chinese government, they sometimes don't exactly know what is going on in the world.

The OP says that Japan only wanted to help China in order to benefit itself. This is almost certainly true. However, the OP also points out that China is developing its influence in Africa. Why? Because China wants to help the Africans or help itself? I'm sure its the latter. Don't make out that China is morally better than Japan. It isn't.

<My answer to the responses to my message>

Thank you everybody for each interesting opinion. This Monday is a national holiday, Marine Day in Japan, but still amid a rainy season.
Just now, Im not worried about China. However, we have some problems which must be solved in the near future. It seems most of the young Japanese people are indifferent about these kinds of problems, actually because these issues never have any influence on their satisfied daily life. Ms. Clarissa says Dont be so hard on Japan. Yes, I think so, but a littleWhat a pretty child you have!
By the way, there are many Chinese students in our university. I like traveling and visited some countries. In those local areas I came across many young people from China. I sometimes brought up political topics which were not so serious. Most of them frankly talked about conditions in China. I mean nowadays the Chinese are not in the wall. Especially, young people well know the world. Their thought is fair because they insist on the correctness of their theory not only to Japan but also to their own country. I stayed in Dalien, China for only two months and for over one year in Korea. Since then my view of these countries has clearly changed. Therefore, I knew those who had never been to such counties were apt to have wrong ideas about them because of ignorance. Sometimes the media is likely to exaggerate the fact. Seeing is believing. Im afraid a big dragon is becoming stronger, on the contrary, I hope China will be changed by its young power.

I believe it,but it will take a long time,I think. Rolling Eyes
I have read some Japanese novels, from those I think many Japanese are good and kind. Smile
Don't always criticize the Chinese communist government. It has some shortcomings and taken some mistakes.BUT,I think it has more advantages. We all Chinese have the confidence of the communist government,we also hope the shortcomings would be less and less. And, don't always say that the development of China is just because of Japanese economic aid, though it is a reason.China has a big market, you know.it is a kind of business.

I'm afraid that I can't agree with you.Chinese ordinary people aren't fools as you think,we can know news by many ways.
I wish Chinese and Japanese can be good relationship someday!

I don't agree with you about this opinion.as they are reported in all kinds of media, maybe only did you see the situation of the east or south parts of china, relatively they devolop well.

however do you forcus on some specific parameters? for example the extent of social security, and the average income.we can mere find from the two parameters that the level of devolopment do not approaches the level of devoloped country.
next i want to take example of social security whose the level is a crucial index of devoloped country

in the countryside much as the social security can't be popularized enough in virtue of the huge population and limited fund, consequently only can a majority of older peasants be supported by themselves of their daughters of sons after they retired, and when they get ill, some of them don't have enough money to go to hospital on account of lack of necessary medical security program, even the doctor tell them you get serious diseases, such as cancer , only is death waiting for them. What i said above is not fabricated.if you can understand mandarin, you can touch a great deal of materials of the kind.

Finally I want to say you only notice a part of china, not the whole china. if you knew more and more, i am convinced you will change your mind.
