"That guy down the street said he'd sell me his car for $1000."
"That car's only three years old and he's selling it for only $1000? It's too good to be true."
It's too good to be true=a comment on an object or situation that is much better than expected. The meaning is usually, "It's too good to be true; there must be something wrong with it." |
