Hello,
Please tell me whether this sentence is correct or not.

"I will mail to you in few minutes". I hear people saying

"I will mail you in few minute". Which is correct.

Thanks in anticipation.

Fathak

Hi Fathak,

I would say: "I will mail you in a few minutes".

Hi BS,
Thank you very much for your reply. Can I say "I will mail it to you in a few minutes". Is it acceptable. By the way, Could you explain me why we have added "a" with few minutes.

ie. I will mail you in "a" few mins.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hello again,

To answer your question, yes, you can say: "I will mail it to you in a few minutes". It's perfectly fine.

As for the second part of your question, "few" used alone (without the "a") means: not many. It differs slightly from "a few" which means: a small number of things (or persons).

I hope that helps.
Kind regards,
BS
