Is this the first you came to the U.S.?
Is this your first time to come to the U.S.?
Are the three sentences correct? |

"Is this the first you've come to the U.S.?" looks grammaticlly correct, but no one would say it. Try, "Is this the first time you've come to the U.S.?"
"Is this the first you came to the U.S.?" is not right. Try, "Is this your first trip to the U.S.?"
"Is this your first time to come to the U.S.?" Again, it looks grammitcally correct, and while some people might it that way, it sounds just a little stilted. Try, "Is this your first time coming to the U.S.?" _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
