Hello

What do you think is best? News and Sports from your own country or News and Sports from UK and USA newspapers? Which would you prefer to read?

www.jamaby.com finds stories for students of English everyday. But soon News from your country might be there, if people want it.

There is also a mailing list Jamaby Weekly

Thanks

News and Sports from multiple sources around the world is the best, if one wants to learn to think and judge for him/herself. Reading news from any single source will always be biased.

Well, I LIVE in the US, so that's not "world news" to me, but I do prefer reading international news rather than local.

Thanks for your opinion.

What I really wanted to say was which is better Local view or an Anglo Saxon view of the world?

I am British and live in Japan. I live in a world where CNN International supply my TV news. I am lucky, I get the news in my language. For part of the day the CNN News comes from London. Trouble is for most of the day, especially the evening, it is a very American orientated view of what International is and I am not interested in that so much. Its OK for 10 minutes but then I am bored. I`d prefer BBC.

So I imagine students from different countries might feel the same way.

www.jamaby.com has plans to offer local English News, but before that happens it would be good to know how people feel.

Thanks

Jason
