Hello,
I came across a multiple choice question and have narrowed the choices down to just 2 choices.
It's ............. to be interested in football.
a. nobody's business
b. no one's business
As far as I can see, these two choices are the same. Have I missed something? Or is this just another badly designed exercise?
Thank you,
Nawee |

I'd like to see the other choices, because neither of these choices would make a sensible sentence. (Sorry.) _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

The other two choices are: "business of nobody" and "business of no one"
I agree that the sentence doesn't make any sense to me at all.
Thank you,

Well, I agree that you have narrowed it down to the two best choices, and both mean the same thing. But the sentence doesn't sound like anything that a native speaker would say.
Maybe someone else has a different view . . . . _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

The sentence doesn't sound natural as it lacks truth value. I think thesedays many have made it their business to be interested in football. |
