he is one of the greatest writer of china.but most of his works was written in english,he aimed to introduce china and its culture to the world.and certainly he succeed.people around the world begin to realise china through him.
the importance of life, moment in peking,my country and my people
made him famous.and in personal,i liked moment in peking very much,it showed the chinese history(1900-1938)very clear, and the lovely girl named mulan always touched me deeply.
if you want to know chinese's culture, you have to read lingyutang(林语堂) |

Yes, I have read the novel: moment in Peking. And I like this book very much. I believe it’s the best long novel in modern times of China. Mulan is the person who I like most. In my mind ,she is perfect. She is beautiful, clever, kind, wise. But she can’t marry the man she really loves. What a pity. |
