I submitted a short paper a few days ago, today I received a reply: "I would recommend you to have your paper edited by a native English-speaking colleague. After receipt of your corrected manuscript, I will be glad to reconsider it."

I have not yet a colleague or a friend who is native English speaker, could you help me proofread the article?

I think you will find that it will depend upon the specific scientific content and the length of the article as to whether anyone is willing to help.

If it's short and not too involved, most people will try to help. However if it's several pages and /or difficult, you may have to consider paying someone to do it.

You should put up a short extract ( a few lines) and some idea of how long it is. You must be careful not to put up the whole of the text otherwise the journal may not accept it because you will then have published it and also that others copy your work. That possibility is unlikely but you need to be careful.
