Dear Teachers,
1. I won't lose no sleep on that, 'cause I've got a plan.
- "won't lose any sleep on that" means "won't keep my eyes out of it", right?
2. - Do you like to be taken pictures / photos of?
- Do you like to take pictures / photos of others / other people?
- Have you ever eaten at a buffet party?
- Are these natural?
Thanks a lot to Teachers,

1. it is more natrual to say 'i won't lose any sleep on that,' meaning that whatever is bothering you will not keep you awake all night thinking about it.
2. i enjoy having my picture taken; i do not like to have pictures taken of me; my friend like to take pictures.
to eat at a 'buffet' can either refer to a restaurant or a party. the word 'buffet' (pronounced buf-FAY) in USA, means that there is a table full of different kinds of food and you take only the kinds that you would like to eat. in a restaurant, it is not necessarily every kind of food that is offered on the menu. if you go to someone's house who has a buffet, it is usually offered on occassions when there are many people at your house, such as a holiday get together, or a large backyard picnic. in that case, either the host provides all of the food, or each family that comes will bring a dish/plate to share with everyone that will attend.
hope that helps, iitimone7 |
