In our society age is a major dimension of social oganization. Our school system, to name one example, is carefully arranged around the studentsages. Similarly, to a greater or lesser extent, families, corporations, even whole communities are organized by age. Age also plays an important part in how people relate to one another across the whole range of everyday experience. Age is also a major touchstone by which individuals organize and interpret their own lives. Both children and adults continually ask themselves, How well am I doing for my age?

(question1) How would you rephrase "across the whole range of everyday experience"? Which one would be correct?

1) through the whole range of everyday experience
2) beyond the whole range of everyday experience
3) over the whole range of everyday experience
4) all of the above
5) none of the above (suggestions please)

(question2) I do not understand the phrase "organize and interpret their own lives. (Especially "organize their own lives.)
" How would you rephrase "organize and interpret their own lives?

This rephrasing is correct.

"organize and interpret their own lives" means how they understand life and how they live it.

If I were to rephrase it, I'd delete 'own'.
